Like many others in this field, my journey began with visual astronomy. In 2019, with little equipment knowledge but great curiosity, I bought my first telescope and pointed it toward the night sky. Seeing Saturn’s rings, Jupiter, and the Moon up close was an unforgettable experience that reignited my long-standing interest in astronomy and cosmology, and ultimately led me into astrophotography.

Though my academic background is in Psychology (BA and MSc), my interest in astronomy and cosmology has resurfaced strongly in recent years. Astrophotography has become both a creative and scientific outlet, allowing me to explore the universe in a hands-on and deeply rewarding way.

On this site you’ll find my astrophotography gallery, detailed pages for many of the objects I’ve photographed, imaging information, equipment details and the stories behind some of the project. As the site continues to grow, I also plan to share articles, equipment reviews and other resources based on my own experience, with the goal of creating a useful and enjoyable place for anyone interested in astrophotography.

Above all, Distant Sky Lights is a place to share my passion for exploring the night sky and, hopefully, spark a little curiosity along the way.
